West Nepal stays on flood alert as Kathmandu rain eases

Meteorologist Rojan Lamichhane told the outlet the low-pressure system from the Bay of Bengal is moving west, so western Nepal could still see heavy to very heavy rain today and tomorrow. The department measured 247 mm of rain in Archale, Palpa, and 114 mm in Bharse, Gulmi, in the latest 12-hour period. Because of flood and landslide risk, 25 districts have been directed to fully stop vehicles day and night, Onlinekhabar reported.
