A 35-year-old scooter rider from Morang died after a truck hit his scooter from behind near Tin Number Pul in Jitpur Simara-22, Bara, Onlinekhabar reports. According to the District Police Office Bara, the truck was traveling from Hetauda toward Pathlaiya around 11 p.m. when it struck the Bagmati Province-registered scooter. The rider was seriously injured and died during treatment at Narayani Hospital in Birgunj. Police said they have taken the truck and its driver into custody.
